Chair of civil law, civil procedure law and private international law and procedural law (civil law V)
Professor Dr. Felix M. Wilke, LL.M. (Michigan) holds the Chair of Civil Law, Civil Procedure, and Private International Law including International Civil Procedure at EBS Law School. He leads the civil law pillar of the German state examination (Staatsexamen) preparation program. Professor Wilke mainly teaches classes on the General Part and the Law of Obligations (BGB Books 1 & 2) as well as elective courses in Private International Law.
In line with the principle of integrating research and teaching, Professor Wilke focuses his research on domestic, European, and cross-border sales law in both B2B and B2C contexts. His recent work explores the intersection of sales law and supply chain regulation. Furthermore, he investigates fundamental issues of civil procedure but also particular issues arising in international settings.
Prior to joining EBS, Professor Wilke served as an Assistant Professor (Akademischer Rat/Oberrat) and Interim Chair at the University of Bayreuth (2018–2025), where he also completed his habilitation. He concluded his legal clerkship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg (2016–2018). As a Grotius Fellow, he earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor (2012–2013), and was awarded his doctorate in 2017 for a dissertation on Private International Law.
